Torsten's vows to Lisa:

On this bridge, in the company of our family and friends,

And with their love and support,

I, Torsten, choose you, Lisa, to be my wife and to travel through life with me.

Having traveled with you this far, I know you are someone I trust with my heart, with my soul, with my love.

I want to create with you a home that celebrates respect, laughter, adventures, and good television.

I dedicate myself to walk the edges with you, to be at home with you, to give you the freedom to explore your own edges, and I invite the same from you.

I promise to delight in your happiness and to comfort you in sorrow.

I promise to communicate openly, to honor our differences, and to never become a stranger to you.

I want to be your willing student and your patient teacher.

I want to be your eager partner in exploring those things we have yet to learn and the places we have yet to go.

I promise to see you as the extraordinary person that you are, even (and especially) at times when you do not.

I promise to always try to persuade you that the last piece of chocolate is yours.

Thank you for finding me. Thank you for keeping me. I love you for what I am when I am with you.

You are the one I awake with in the morning, the one I kiss before we fall asleep at night. I want to keep it this way, for as long as we both shall live.

Lisa's vows to Torsten:

In the company of our family and friends,

And with their love and support,

I, Lisa, choose you, Torsten, to be my husband.

I promise to love you and to honor you.

I promise to listen to you, and always to communicate with you.

I promise to share with laughter in your happiness, and to cry with you in your sadness.

I promise my strength and support in times when your own may fail, and in turn to accept your support.

I promise to help you to grow and become the person you want to be.

I promise to accept your faults as I ask you to accept mine.

I promise to strive to be worthy of your love and respect.

I promise to build a life with you that is better than any we could have imagined living individually.

Today I give you all that I have and all that I am.

Finding you is the best thing I have done,

Until today, when taking you as my husband will displace that honor.

This is my promise, from this day forward, til death do us part.
